Mr. Senaka Fernando is a seasoned audit and consulting professional with over 30 years of leadership experience in accounting, auditing, and advisory services across Cambodia, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka.

He is a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE), conferred by H.M. Queen Elizabeth II in 2009 for his outstanding contribution to promoting UK trade and investment with Cambodia.

Before establishing Funan Consulting Co., Ltd., Mr. Senaka held senior leadership positions with international firms, including PricewaterhouseCoopers (Cambodia), where he served as Director and Country Head, and Ernst & Young Cambodia, where he was Resident Country and Audit Manager. He also served as Head of ACCA Cambodia, leading the organization’s strategic growth and professional development initiatives.

Mr. Senaka has extensive experience in financial statement audits (non-bank and non-insurance entities), donor-funded project audits, compliance and operational audits, and business advisory. His professional expertise extends to corporate governance, risk management, and strategic business planning.

He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (affiliated with ICAEW), an Affiliate Member of the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA), and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).

Mr. Senaka also served as Treasurer and Secretary General of CAMFEBA, Chairman of BritCham Cambodia (1997–2010), and Board Member of the International Business Chamber (IBC). He continues to contribute as a Corporate Advisory Board Member at the National University of Management in Phnom Penh.

He is fluent in English and Sinhala and has a proven record of excellence in leading multicultural teams, managing donor-funded engagements, and delivering high-quality advisory services across the region.
