Mr. Phat Chen is the Audit Director of Funan Consulting and a proud Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA (Aust.)), a global leading accountancy professional body. With more than 15 years at Cambodia’s accountancy regulator and standard setter, he has been instrumental in shaping the nation’s accounting and auditing landscape—supporting the adoption of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, IPSAS, ISA, ISQM, IESBA ethics, and AML/CFT/CPF frameworks, thereby strengthening the credibility of the profession.

During his regulatory career, Mr. Chen worked closely with all licensed audit and accounting firms in Cambodia, guiding, monitoring, and building capacity across the sector. His leadership accelerated the implementation of global standards, laying the foundation for a more transparent and accountable profession.

Now leading the practitioner side as Audit Director at Funan Consulting, Mr. Chen heads a team serving nearly 100 clients annually. His mission is to combine regulatory experience with hands-on practice, delivering trusted audits, enhancing financial reporting quality, and creating value for clients with a focus on sustainability and long-term resilience.
